Game development questions for kabam

So I was wondering if I were to design a champ abilities, special attacks, basic attacks, etc. (except the graphic design)
If you guys decided to add the champ I created would I get something out of it I was hoping for just a five or six star variant of the champ when it’s released or like a few odins vaults but I know there is issues with rights and stuff and maybe you can’t just give me a champ or units if you did accept it and there is this whole thing that goes behind adding a champ and you might not be able to just wondering cuz I really wanted to design a champ and have it in game that would be awesome.

Translation: how bout adding a cool champ like one that already exists but with cool racing stripes to make him seem faster. Can I have a 6 star and lots of units now? Thanks

Well I wasn’t really saying that I said it would be nice and it would be an all new character I would do it for free just for something to show future game companies if I ever want to apply to one I said I would create all of it except the graphics too so that doesn’t really make sense but who knows maybe you just thought I meant the concept and not the hours upon hours of programming it would be cool to get something out of it but a character I made in my favorite game would be good enough for me sorry for your complete misunderstanding edit: maybe I’m being confusing again so translation to myself “I would do it for free but It would be cool to get a reward for hours of hard work that it takes to program something” edit 2 sorry for needing to edit so much but I also said a five or six star variant of a character I made or just like a few units when most people would ask for money but I don’t really need money so I would do it for completely free no in game stuff now I sound like a broken record

It's great that you like the game enough to want to work on it, but unfortunately this sort of thing is extremely impractical, and it only happens in very special circumstances.

For legal reasons, they can't just accept unsolicited game design work like that. They would have to pay you as a design contractor, and would have to pay you reasonable industry rates. They can't pay you in in-game content, because legally that has no monetary value.

On a more practical level, the work it takes to design a champion beyond the visual concept stage is rather involved. You would need to learn how the game mechanics work from the design side (as opposed to just the player-facing side we see) and you would need to work with animators, sound designers, vfx artists, and a bunch of other content developers to realize that design. The problem is you wouldn't have the design language.

If this is something you're really interested in, I would encourage you to try to learn how this game actually works, down to the nuts and bolts. If this doesn't bore you to tears, every little bit of knowledge and experience helps: maybe one day you'll have an opportunity to use it in a practical setting.

Thank you and yeah I knew it would take a while probably like a year or so and a lot of communication between me and the developers at kabam who are really doing a great job already and the only reason kabam would accept my offer ever is at a business perspective you could call the champ player made and boom it looks like you care about your players it was insane for me to say anything and I knew that the chances of kabam replying were the odds of getting a four star punisher out of a Arena crystal and the odds of them accepting were like getting a five star out of one UAC
