Those that had the gifting badge got compensated for its removal, so from kabams side they can start completely fresh and new.

So if we can expect the gifting function to come back and for it to be part of some purchasable offer again, it would make absolutely no sense to not make it part of the sigil or a similar offer in the future, depending on the overall resonance of these subscription based offers.

People got double units for gifting badge compensation. People are fine... if they have to buy it again they’ve more than gotten their money back from the first go. Actually happy the gifting badge is gone... has almost eliminated all the beggars and moochers in global.

During Christmas they used to have a huge event for gifting, if it comes back I am sure it will be for that since it was a HUGE money maker. Also with new subscription they may be added later, sadly that means it’s behind a paywall

Either this will come in as an added perk of sigil OR they'll just bring it back for the holidays. Kabam makes way too much money during the gifting event to not bring it back.

every time there is a charge back for fraud it costs them $25 AFTER the return cost, that eats into their wallet, so it matters a lot.

In his first post he literally said he didn’t, you kept responding to him. The Sigil establishes a precedent and the way forward of kabam

They removed it because it was used for Fraud, both with Credit Cards fraudulently used, and for the sale of Items within the game for real money. They have deactivated it perhaps indefinitely. It may return at Event times in a capacity that can't be abused, but that's up in the air. They're not going to create a Subscription Service for it and open it up to be abused again.

I never said they'd release it just the way it was. Why they removed it is irrelevant here, since if they reintroduce it they've most likely overhauled it to prevent such activities.

How they might reintroduce that is the only thing I've focused on.

If they create a Subscription Service with it, that opens it up to be exploited. That's the point I'm making, and they're not going to let that happen.

I never talked about the old system being stuffed into the sigil.

There is no way to overhaul it and charge a Subscription Service that couldn't be exploited. Any exchange of money would be.

The only way you could control it is by having a limited source of Gifting Resources that could be controlled in-game. Even then, there's the possibility of someone setting up another Black Market Ring where they exchange money for Items outside the game. It's an extremely sensitive issue considering the degree of abuse that's occurred.
