Fight Randomized Opponents and Buffs in Sinister Labs!

Summoners!

Mister Sinister is continuing his work with genetic modification, and has begun performing experiments on the Champions of the Contest in an attempt to enhance their abilities and further his research!

Log in daily to take on the Sinister Labs Event Quest, and receive items from the Sinister Labs Event Login Calendar including Randomizers and brand new “Sense Boosts” to enhance your own Champions' Abilities (only usable in the Sinister Labs),

Special Solo Objectives are also available this month, and will target the use of Mutant Champions in unique and challenging ways to earn additional Sense Boosts, Randomizers and Gold!

What are Sinister Labs?

Sinister Labs are short quests that consist of 2 paths, each with 6 fights on them. Sounds straightforward? Not exactly… Mr Sinister’s Experimentation has left these encounters unpredictable!

All Fights in these quests will feature a number of Randomized Buffs! Some of these Buffs are more potent on certain Champions, and some may even benefit the Summoner, but don’t be fooled into thinking you can start the fight without reading what you’ll be up against!

Really don’t like the Buffs you’re encountering? You can use a Randomizer to reset them, but that doesn’t guarantee that all of them will be different, or any easier!

This quest uses Entry Limits, meaning Summoners can only enter a 10 times each day across all Difficulties. There are 4 difficulties that can be done daily, each with 2 paths. There is no point in doing any difficulty of the Quest more than twice. You will only receive Completion and Exploration rewards once.

Heighten your Senses!

For the first time ever, we’re adding a new dimension to Lab quests, Senses! Senses are mode specific Boosts that can only be used in Sinister Labs. You can only activate these Boosts from the Quest Map Screen. There are 6 Boosts that Summoners may activate:

Sense: Tactile - When inflicted with any Shock, Coldsnap, Poison or Bleed effect, your Champion builds immunity to the effect over 9 seconds. This time is reduced to 3 seconds while playing as a Mutant.

Sense: Auditory - Incoming Special Attacks have a 20% chance to trigger an Evasion Passive, granting a 100% chance to Evade all incoming attacks for the duration of the Special Attack. The chance to trigger this Passive is increased to 50% while playing as a Mutant.

Sense: Olfactory - All attacks have a 20% chance to deal True Damage, ignoring all of the Opponent's Armor. This chance increases to 50% while playing as a Mutant.

Sense: Visual - While playing as a Mutant, attacks cannot Miss.

Sense: Gustatory - When the Opponent is inflicted with a damaging Debuff, your Champion gains a Regeneration Buff, granting 5% of their missing health over 4 seconds.

Sense: Rage - When playing as a Mutant, while at or below 20% max health, gain a Fury Passive granting 300% increased Base Attack.

Sinister Labs will be available on August 7th at 10am PDT, and runs until September 4th! You must update to the newest version of the game before being able to participate.

I sure hope they fixed the issue where if you exit the lab to purchase more Randomizers, the node resets and has all buffs that were there originally.

Soooo yeah. I don’t mind labs at all IF you’ve fixed the randomizers bug which you never did the last time they came around.

Have you guys fixed this bug that we reported over and over again previously yet?

I guess we'll just have to figure out the energy cost and difficulty on our own today.

TMK all other labs have been zero energy, it’s likely this one will be also.

From a quick look I’d say it needed a separate difficulty as the node combinations are brutal
I’m fine as I have a 5:65 team but someone who can just about 100% uncollected or isn’t at act 6 yet won’t be able to do this regularly
Like the path I got today felt more like one of those boss rushes we used to get not a daily event

I felt this was going to happen. The difficulty doesn't match the rewards and not everyone will be able to even complete it and get the rewards at all.

I play map 7 all 5 days and I can tell you with all 7 r5 champions that I have, I still use items on map 7 almost daily. I never had to do that with map 6 or map 5. Thats crazy because I'm positive my account is better than 90% of the players that currently play the game minimum

They have made boosts available to you if the difficulty becomes to much. You can earn these boosts by using mutant champions in other content before taking on the labs.

Ye like I noticed a node combination at least on an iron man freezerburn and caltrops outside of corvus and ghost I don’t know who could do that aegon if you could get lucky for the first few hits?

One of the epic fights was showing 4 buffs, instead of the normal 3, including Buffet. I used all my randomizers trying to remove Buffet and it never did. After I died the buffs dropped to 3 and buffet was gone. Seems like the event may be glitched

So not only did they add an extra path of these labs, they also limit you on how many Randomizers you get. I already used 14 for stupid, fun & interactive mode matchups. You guys sure know how to piss the community off. Jeez.

For daily fights no one wants to die multiple times when you just had an even last month which was way easier with similar rewards. You have to gauge the temperature in the room. Most players will certainly opt out of this altogether.

Well I was going to ask if this was going to be like some of the other Labs/Trials events where there's a hard day at the end of the week, and if we should save our boosts for that or just use them if we got 'em...

...but no one has answered a single question in this thread in the week it's been up, so somehow I doubt I'll get an answer.

I was actually pleasantly surprised, I thought the enemies would all have 6 nodes and would be about 30% stronger

So you completed the labs without any boosts or revives? I'm just trying to figure out what your statement means.

I recently became uncollected and easily clear master difficultly EQ but the master difficultly on the sinister labs is way harder? The UC EQ is easier than this? For a handful of 5* shards not sure I will even be bothering with this one

No, they said there is no point in doing each difficulty more than twice. You do get exploration rewards for running the second path.

I've enjoyed the previous labs and the rewards have been really good in the past for the time invested. This current version seems like way too much grind for the rewards though. I know they will add up but I'm not sure it's worth it.

This is one of the worst version of lab ever. The nodes are way worse the defenders are way worse ... sorry no Fun at all ... cannot even think kf a team that can handle all options you can encounter ...

And smashed tires are now direct damage not bleed damage

Please this is not fun ... I literally prefer no side quest then this ... and why do I preffer no side quest instead of this side quest... as a free to play player you really need to do everything available to even keep up with the middle to sub top... and this is just pure frustration ... really starting to wonder why I keep playing ... and honestly except for the friendships I can’t think of any reason anymore ...

You’re right. I personally am not a fan of labs. I prefer trials of the King. However, this current version of labs is the worst by far.
