Anyways, kabam may have used the term "dimensional being" a bit loosely in the bio. Now we are in the situation where if kabam caves in and gives him the dimensional being tag, it goes against their intended design and lets everyone use blade to beat uncollected aarkus much easier which is not what they intended. On the other hand if they cave in and change bio to "alien from smokeworld" or whatever else, people will complain that kabam are being lazy and just changing the bio to suit their needs. Truly, there is nothing kabam can do that will make the community happy whilst fulfilling their indended purpose for this event quest.

tl;dr, people are reading into the bio a little too much, just accept the tags given lol.

If you come from Canada you’re a Canadian
If you hail from the great state for Texas... yup, Texan.
If you were originally from another dimension (by transitive logic) you are (drum roll) a dimensional being.
If this was “not intended” then kabam needs to practice more intentionality and purposefulness in their character creation. At the very least, employ better communication between the hashtag and bio folks.

So you're saying they better not mention he's from another dimension because people will expect the Tag? Yeah, no. If there wasn't an interaction people were after, they wouldn't care if he was Tagged anything. That's just saying they have to choose their words carefully and while that may be true in some senses, we can't demand interactions just because they gave a back story with a word that triggered us.

Yes we can demand because what they are doing is contradicting themselves

No they're not. They're creating a game. One that doesn't revolve around any specific Champion.

I'm not denying that they are't contradicting themselves. They are, by using a less than ideal choice of words to describe aarkus's origin. Kabam could have avoided this problem by simply not describing aarkus as a dimensional being to avoid confusion.

No one ever said that it is revolving around any specific champ and also they clearly are contradicting themselves as they explain he is a DB in his bio but doesn't have a tag so which one is it?

be the way it is and don't give the hashtag "just because"

Yeah, I don't think contradicting themselves and creating a game are mutually exclusive options. This is kind of a universal rule in fiction. You can make the world whatever you want it to be, but once you have, it needs to be internally consistent. Blade's danger sense doesn't have to apply to dimensional beings, but once it does, you can't make a dimensional being and have it not apply with no justification. As @Demonzfyre suggested you could make him an alien from another dimension but not a dimensional being per se. But that's not what they've done.
  • LeNoirFaineantLeNoirFaineant Posts: 6,171 ★★★★★
Also leaving the hashtag off because Blade is kind of making it revolve around one specific champion.
  • GroundedWisdomGroundedWisdom Posts: 24,034 ★★★★★
No, it's creating and balancing the game as they see fit. Which means if there are interactions that they don't want to include, or others they want to include more, that's what they do. There's a sense of entitlement to the argument. "Must have it."

Wrong. If they say he is dimensional, and don't give him the hashtag which merely identifies dimensional beings as such, it's a mistake, not balance. @GroundedWisdom how are we supposed to read his bio which says he is a dimensional being, other than by concluding that he is a dimensional being? How does this not interact with Blade's ability which merely states that he reacts to dimensional beings? I suspect there may be a better answer than @Kabam Miike gave and they need to change his bio or add the hashtag, but as it stands it's an error. If you can explain it other than by using generic terms which don't actually mean anything in this context like "ballance" I'm all ears. You can't though, because it doesn't make any sense.
  • LeNoirFaineantLeNoirFaineant Posts: 6,171 ★★★★★
Explain how describing him as dimensional and then stating he wasn't designed to be dimensional isn't a contradiction @GroundedWisdom. If you can't, then please stop posting with nebulous jargon about "balance."
  • GroundedWisdomGroundedWisdom Posts: 24,034 ★★★★★
That's not jargon. They decide what Tags they receive. Now, it could be that they didn't add it and made a mistake. Anything is possible. However, since a Mod already pointed out that he's not meant to have it, then the reality is they didn't give it to him. That's about it. Not every piece of information in the Bio goes into the Tags.
  • LeNoirFaineantLeNoirFaineant Posts: 6,171 ★★★★★

Not every piece of information in the Bio goes into the Tags.

That's true. Not every piece of information in the bio is a category in this game. "Dimensional beings" are a category in this game, however. If he isn't meant to have the tag, than the bio is incorrect. I don't care where the error is, so long as it gets corrected. Pretending that there isn't one isn't helping.

  • GroundedWisdomGroundedWisdom Posts: 24,034 ★★★★★
Did they call him a Dimensional Being, or just say he came from another dimension? What you're implying sets some kind of wording restriction that they're not supposed to use any Tag words in a Bio unless they give them the Tag. That's a bit militant in expectations, to be honest.

"Aarkus (The Vision), the Keeper of Law, is a dimensional being that is bent on eradicating The Battlerealm of evil. Drawing his power from Smokeworld, Aarkus can call upon the powers his homeworld feeds him. "

Okay. So that means he MUST have the Tag? As I said before, that's his back story. They have to stay true to the storyline to respect the source, but that doesn't mean they have to add the mechanics in the game to suit. Not when those mechanics have internal effects. That's why I pointed out they have a game to balance.

Yes. It does. The hashtags are categories, and they told us that this champ is in this particular game category. The game is different than the Marvel Universe. They don't have to describe his "back story" using actual game categories if they don't meant him to fit the category.

Alternatively they could clarify the bio.
  • GroundedWisdomGroundedWisdom Posts: 24,034 ★★★★★
Not if they have an agreement with Marvel to respect the material.

It's kinda sad that Kabam is starting to use "not intended" as an excuse for anti-player bugs, it's simple. His bio literally says Dimensional Being, then where is his tag?

And to all the people arguing with the pro Kabam squad, just say bye and ignore their posts, they feed off attention

What exactly is an "anti-player bug"?

And you seriously believe that Marvel specifically said that Aarkus should not have the DB tag? Not even you can be that blind
Did you read what I said? LeNoir said they could change the Bio. I said not if they have an agreement to respect the source material in the information they provide.

They have told us multiple times that the game is separate. You're reaching here bro. This is very simple. According to his Bio he is susceptible to danger sense. If they don't want him to be they need to do more than ignore the fact that they describe him as dimensional. As it stands it's a contradiction. Still waiting for you to demonstrate otherwise.
  • GroundedWisdomGroundedWisdom Posts: 24,034 ★★★★★
The game is separate yes. The information they receive from Marvel is not.
