I usually save up a lot of crystal shards just to open more to increase my odds of getting something I'm looking for. Not only that, but save up some to always have enough crystals to open for Summon Advancement.

It definitely is beneficial to hoard crystals or shards. Since Kabam has limited T4 class catalyst storage capacity so severely, it is beneficial to hoard any crystals that contain T4CC shards or whole catalysts until they are needed as you will definitely overflow on those faster than you can use them. Same goes for 4 hour crystals with the anemic potion storage capacity.

It does not do this. The odds are the same if you horde them and open them at once or open them individually. Also doing what you say for SA only works if your alliance cannot get rewards, it lowers your rewards from other weeks for a bigger reward at the end, but over all it is still the same.

What I mean by increasing my odds is having more chances at getting a champion or item I'm looking for. I understand each crystal is its own percentage of drop rate, but thank you responding kindly.

But it still does not do this, as you state the odds are the same, even the pool odds are the same. It does make people feel better though.

So I'm not sure I understand your question because you mix Crystal's and resources.

My stance:

1. Most champ Crystal's you dont need to hoard. You can though on crystals for levels you wont use(premium through 4* for me) as the iso you get from dupes is useful if your going to be doing rank ups. 5* and 6* i dont have the patience to hoard and dont see the point as there are still champs that can change my roster in the now and help me clear content I havent today so why wait.

2. Resource crystals(t4cc/4 hour/arena/etc)- Crystal's like this I dont see why you wouldnt hoard them. If you dont need the resource dont open them because they will just expire. That's a waste. The stashes are small and this results in large hoards of Crystal's in this category.my current hoard is 4263 of Crystal's in this category.

3. Resources in general- my general rule is dont use any rare resources you will miss on a champ that wont immediately have some major use in your roster. Keep you stashes as full as possible. I word it like this because its relative to where you are at. But you should hoard resources if you dont have the right champs to use it on. NEVER force a rank up with rare materials because youre bored. I tall so many people out of rank ups because of this. Not being patient and saving resources has a chance of bottle necking you eventually on content because you misused rare resources on champs that are no of use. Hoard them for the game changers and get good at using the ok champs to clear content at r3 or r4 5* level depending on where you are at. Your skill can overcome level a lot of the time if you build it. Combine skill with God tier champs brought right to r4 and R5 and the game will open up for you. Just be patient.
