September/October side event
I was under the impression that last months side solo objective side event was supposed to only be to your corresponding difficulty. I recently went from uncollected to cavalier. When I went up i had a couple days left on my 7 day grandmaster crystal calendar and figured that it would just turn to cavalier crystal shards after the 7 day cycle finished.
