All of them are still going to trigger effects when neutralized, so if that is what you are hoping to counter, Silk or Quicksilver may be better options.1 -

They specifically counter Valk by destroying buffs gained when hitting into his block, so doable, but not as easily as you would hope3 -

Xpool and goblin are the only two that I would classify as bad pulls, everyone else is at least useful or better.3
