It is a bug the devs are looking into where when timing a sp3 during a basic hit the game for whatever reason counts it as a basic hit. I recommend using sp2s in the mean time.3 -

Based on observations, the game stops roster matchmaking in platinum so low accounts don't have a free ride to gladiator circuit5 -

From what I've heard and seen, there is no roster matchmaking parameters in diamond. You literally just match whoever is available.4 -
