While i agree, not ranking any of these champs wouldnt remove them from use, it would just make me use them more. Already having the three at r4 and above, I use them all for war attack.1 -

Here's a note I haven't seen: If you don't get him down in the first two fights, just restart the quest. Refills are cheaper than revives in the long run. He only gets tougher.12 -
