Petrify does not affect the power gained from being struck. It affects the power gained from stuff like power gain buffs and the spite node.1 -

I remember when I changed my device from apple to android, I noticed the timing for parry and dex was ever so slightly different. Maybe they changed the timing for ios to match that of android?2
