Out of hand censoring? Toby Keith... c'mon

Look, I get the need for censoring... kids play.

But this censoring is out of hand. Sometimes someone will ask a question in Global, and I'll respond with common MCoC acronyms or shorthand and then my response is censored.

Also... why in the world is "Toby Keith" censored?

    Yeah global censored is something else. Tried talking about ice man and can't say cold snap because snap is censored. Also All full names are censored in global lol

    Even typing in full real names of their own game characters

    The censor is always evolving and works off of phrases as well as individual words. Full names of individuals don't belong in the chat as sharing Private Information there isn't cool. Adding in famous names is something that we're certainly working on. However, this is done manually.

    Thanks for bringing up these examples! We'll be sure to take a look into these.

    What type of MCOC acronyms were you trying to use @ZzyzxGuy ?

    @Wafflesallday , which full names of game characters are you finding filtered out?

    If you come across more phrases that appear to be false flagging, please feel free to let us know and we'll be happy to take a look further into the examples. Please understand though, there are certainly some words that could have a double meaning, and we can't always approve every censor change suggestion!

    I love these forums and the crazy content that some of you guys post. "Toby Keith" would make sense to be censored potentially because of his feud with the "Dixie Chicks" cause we all know how crazy that was.
