Chitinous thorns bug?

Just attempted using Medusa against the colossus boss in variant 3 3.1. I used the strategy of only using MM combos to apply armor breaks on each hit until I got to sp1 and could get armor shatter. I figured since every hit is applying an armor break, I'll never have to deal with armor up and, therefore, chitnous thorns cant trigger bleed on me.

I was wrong. I was receiving bleeds when I hit colossus before and after he was armor shattered, despite not having any armor up buffs. What am I missing?

Hey there, would you be able to tell us who else you had on your team or if you had any boosts active at the time. Additionally, would you happen to have any video of this that you could share with us?

Team was medusa, sparky, void, cap IW and heimdall (yes, foolishly no bleed immunity). No boosts. I didnt take a video. Will try to get one tomorrow. @Kabam Zibiit
