Rank down tickets?

As more and more variant events are added, the more I think about the fact that rank down tickets need to be given out. Every variant released has had rank 4 gem crystals given out for 100% for certain years, but on some of classes for certain years, there is a limited amount of champions. For example, in 2016, there were only 3 tech champs added, Civil Warrior, Howard the Duck, and Ultron (Classic). This would make a tech gem completely useless for someone who already has these champs at rank 4 or hasn't 100% Labyrinth, which would basically force you to spend resources you don't want to spend just to get your Ultron to rank up. The point is, some of these gems are completely useless for players and will just sit in the stash until the end of time. Kabam, are you planning to ever give out more rank down tickets?

    If they were to just give out a Tech class RDT for people who pull a Tech class 2016 rankup gem from Variant, well then it wouldn’t really have been a 2016 specific rankup gem from Variant.

    What you’re really asking for is that any Variant Rankup gem should really be wide open to use on champs from ANY YEAR. Which is NOT what they are intended for.

    If the RDT was for your top champ (by your I mean just you and anyone else that asks for RDTs. I could use it to rank down your top champ) then I'd be ok with it.

    You want them to send RDTs so you can Rank them down, and Rank them up again?

    Hey guys, we've already stated in the Forum FAQs that we don't have any plans to bring back Rank Down Tickets. However, if we change our minds about that in the future, we'll be sure to let you all know!
