Why does Hawkeye punching Hulk do any damage at all?
How does Quake holding heavy even do any damage?
Where does Gamora's sword go when she's not using it? Or Punisher's big SP3 gun?
Because it's a fighting game, that's why.
And Kabam too, for anything that 'its a game' doesn't cover.

Sometimes you just need to read champions abilities to know what abilities they have or not.

I hadn't seen a Ghost Rider Incinerate immunity thread for almost 48 hours.
