Not receiving shattered heart shards & crystals

I've ran through many of the objectives and side quests in the past 48 hours. I've received zero fully formed shattered heart crystals and the shards in the crystals tab are not adding up to the expected amount.
Just ran through normal difficulty of the side quest... 100% quest 1 and 2 = 700 shards and my crystal shard amount in the crystal tab only went up 100 shards.
I'm guessing I'm not the only one and makes these events even more useless if we're not even getting the flipping rewards!
Please advise, restarting the app does nothing.
