[UPDATED 11/9: 16:07 PDT) Regarding Gold from Skirmish Rewards and Issues in Arenas

Summoners,
As many of you are now aware, there was an issue with the Skirmish Rewards awarded after the close of an Alliance War. The large amounts of Gold that were awarded also caused other problems with any area of the game that required Gold as a cost. This includes Arenas and Ranking Up.
We are currently working on pushing a fix for the rewards, and looking into a fix for all knock ons that are caused by this issue.
During this time, there are a few things that all Summoners should avoid doing:
- Opening any crystals that can award gold. This includes Daily Crystals, Gold Crystals or Arena Crystals. You may wish to avoid opening any Hero Crystals, in case of Duplicate Champions. You won't be punished for opening crystals or duping Champions, but we want to make sure that you still get the gold you are meant to get from these crystals.
- Donating Gold to your Alliance Treasury. We are not yet sure of what will occur after the issue is fixed.
We have seen some concerns from players over this being observed as an exploit, and the implications it can have on your account. While we are not yet sure what actions we will be taking, it should be noted that this is not at all similar to the situation that occurred not long ago with a bug that was clearly much more exploitable. The case where this become "exploited" is by excessively donating to your Alliance Loyalty, although this is not an exhaustive list.
We are most likely going to take back the extra gold that was awarded, and will also likely be taking this from Alliance Treasuries as well.
We're very sorry for this inconvenience, and are continuing to work on fixing the issue. We will keep you all updated as we make progress.

While we continue to work on solving this issue, we have prepared a workaround that will allow players to re-enter Arenas.
We will be removing the Gold Costs for the rest of this Arena. Depending on the amount of Gold you have received, you may also not receive Gold Rewards for completing fights in the Arena. This should allow players to re-enter the Arenas and continue to compete. This will take some time to hit your devices, so please try to close out and restart your device in 20-30 minutes before attempting to start another fight.
REMINDER: Opening Arena Crystals may still result in an Error Message.
Once again, we are very sorry for this inconvenience and will continue to work to fix this situation.
We have more information on the actions we will be taking to fix this issue that we would like to share with you all.
Firstly, we are going to set a cutoff of 200,000 gold for when we start to take back mistakenly rewarded gold. We will start by taking back any gold in players balances, and later move on to any gold donated to the Alliance Treasury.
So, let's say for example, a player has 2,400,000 gold initially. They got 9,000,000 gold from this bug and they donated 1,000,000 to Alliance treasury. The amount that will be removed is:
9,000,0000 (rewarded gold)
Minus 1,000,000 (donated to treasury)
Minus 200,000 (gold cutoff)
Equals 7,800,000 removed.
If this player has not done any new things that earned them Gold, they will end up with 2,600,000 gold.
If, for example, they spent 3 million gold on upgrading champions during this time, they will be left with 0 gold, because they will have spent more than the original 2,400,000 gold they had, plus the 200,000 gold that was received from the Skirmish rewards.
The first step of this, which is removing the extra gold from player balances will be completed by tomorrow. We will approach the Treasury issue after that.
We wanted to give you all and update on the progress of this. At this time, we have taken back the Gold from everybody that had claimed it the day that the issue occurred, but were not able to remove the gold that was still unclaimed.
We are currently working on removing all of the messages with the Skirmish Rewards gold that are still in Users Inboxes. It is imperative that if you have these messages waiting, you do not claim them, as this will still cause issues in your account.
Next, we will be working on removing the gold from all accounts that had claimed the gold after we had already taken it back.
Until this issue is fixed, there will be no cost to start a match in the Arenas.
Remember, if you had gotten a huge amount of gold, you will allowed to keep 200,000 Gold. This doesn't change whether or not you have claimed the gold from the message at this time, so don't be tempted to do it now!
