Rank up gem

I have 2 ranks up gem 5* from 3_4
One mutant and other one general (2017) chmps edition from V5 got it.
Why I couldn't use the generic version on my Magneto as pic below? I want save mutant one for OR..

    I was just going to make a post about this same issue...
    I have Generic rank up gems 1-->2 that are expiring from the special objectives. But when I try to use them on Warlock it only gives me the option of using a Tech rank up gem 1 ->2

    Hey there, our Support Team will be able to help with this. You can reach them from the game's home screen by clicking the gear-shaped icon in the top-left corner of the screen and then scrolling down to the button labeled "Support".
