The game experienced a brief connectivity issue this morning. The team promptly fixed the issue and things are back to normal, thank you to everyone who passed along reports!

Parry issue is not just IOS

Not sure if Kabam is still spinning this one but the parry issue that has been going on for months now is still an issue on Android. I am regularly getting the parry notification shown but no stun on the opponent in all parts of the game, story, EQ and dueling. I hope when they eventually get round to releasing a fix there is actual time spent on both IOS and Android because at the moment it is a PITA

Kabam seemingly only wants to admit there's an issue with IOS devices. Android has been dealing with Parry and Dex, dropped inputs ect for a very long time

yeah, it's been especially bad last month ... had many times parry text shows up, but no stun .. :(

and the timing .. yeah, not even going to get into that .. definitely off ..

.. and sooo many dropped inputs ...

I believe they have basically claimed it is the fault of our devices and since there are so many possible Android devices and variations of hardware in the devices they aren't really able to pinpoint one specific problem like with Apple devices. They say they try to make optimizations but I don't think they do much because it seems to get worse more often than staying the same let alone any kind of improvement.

For some reason, even though a large amount of Android players have these issues, because it isn't a single monolithic problem like with Apple they don't think we are deserving of potion compensation which is why they keep pointing out the compensation is for Apple players and we are just lucky they let us have it too.

They claimed there was a memory leak problem that they fixed recently but with the last update I actually have problems that sound like the memory leak description that only got severe now so either they didn't fix the issue and potentially made it worse or they fixed and then almost immediately broke it again.

I am having increased parry stun problems, input issues, character staying still when I swipe back or forward, champ not dashing forward the full distance to attack and whiffing, only getting 2 hits in and then it stops (maybe it incorrectly throws 2 mediums which stops the attack combo but I know the difference between making a swipe or a tap) so I get hit with a full combo or special and most recently an increase in start of fight parry stun not occurring more often than during the rest of the fights. The random lag spikes are worse too, especially when a special is or is about to be thrown or with a lot of buffs/debuffs/node effects active but not all the time. Sometimes it freezes mid fight for upwards of 5-10 seconds.

I know they have blamed the devices themselves....

I would think though they would take the most common/popular devices and test them.

    Examples:
    Samsung S20/S21
    OnePlus 8,9,10 (Up comming)
    Pixel 5/6

Really many of the issues seem to come down most of the time, the heavy reliance of pRNG events and number of things the game processes (nodes, abilities, ect), heavy graphics and animations combine to cause memory leaks, and overwhelm the processor of the devices causing these behaviors.

Hey guys, there's already a discussion HERE about the same topic. If you wish to discuss it further, please do so in that thread. Thanks!
