Significantly more cheaters in battlegrounds already?

It might be just for me, but I was used to facing a few modders occasionally in previous battlegrounds seasons - I managed to enjoy the game mode anyway. But this time I already faced modders much frequently than before.

I just wanted to open a discussion on what is the best way of reporting these players, because I just feel like the in-game button is only a placebo for players. I saw there is this reporting site as well, here at least I can provide screanshots and reasoning why they must be cheating: https://help.kabamsupport.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052815511-I-Want-To-Report-Cheating

Is there anything more one can do, and do you guys know whether they always review these kind of reporst or not?

Also what is your experience so far in BGs this season with facing cheaters? (I am already scared when I see a legends title, modders just get it easy from danger rooms now.)

Report the issue and let them work thru it. There are prolly dozens of reports every day, and each must be vetted and then maybe investigated. This is obv not an easy process for them to manage, considering how many cheaters there are.

Any talk of modders seems to get removed. Kabam mods seem to care more about the keeping any honest discussion about this ongoing problem off the forum than anything else. Sad

Yeah, you rarely see anyone post something about modders in BG. It's a huge secret. LOL.

Are you sure discussions are being merged? That's common here, because so many players feel obligated to post the same exact post saying the exact same thing that many others have posted, which does nothing but clutter the forum. You're sad bc you lost to a probable cheater. We all get it.

Anyway, what "honest discussion" are you expecting? They've said over and over that they are working to ID cheaters, but that the cheaters keep changing their methods, so it's whack-a-mole each month. What else can they say that will suffice? Nothing, I suspect.

As far as I'm aware, the in-game reporting button is expedited directly to the fair play team that analyzes potential cheating reports. The customer support link goes through customer support who vets the report before passing the report along to the fair play team that analyzes potential cheating reports. So the difference between using the button and using the support link is one extra person in the loop. If you use the button it will go to the fair play team. If you use the support link it probably will go to the fair play team. So I see no advantage to avoiding the reporting button.

Inside ball: the CCP members use the reporting button. Take that for whatever it is worth.

I would expect it to get worse each season. They either don’t catch or can’t catch the modders and even if the do it’s a 1 week ban so risk vs reward.

    I see, thanks makes sense.
For me the bigger difference seemed that I can write description as well in the customer support link. There are lots of cheaters I faced who play it "smart" where it is obvious with attached reasoning in my opinion, but at first glance one could think it is legit.

I am more concerned with the trajectory of this, for sure they cannot catch everyone. But there are more and more in my experience. People write things like this on forums because they are frustrated by the situation.

As for this guy's comment, I am not sure for example why they needed to remove it. Since yesterday multiple of the comments have been removed from this post as well. I think it just adds to the frustration of already frustrated people - making them feel like kabam is not even on their side.

Hey there, the team does look into the cheating report that gets sent in and investigates them as thoroughly as possible. Both the report sent in via the button and the reports sent to the Support Team here get passed along to the proper team for a full investigation, so players can use whichever method they like.

As far as what players can do, the most helpful thing is to include as much information and detail as possible when sending in a report. Detailed descriptions of what exactly you saw, who your opponent was using, what prompted you to believe they were cheating, are all incredibly helpful to our investigations, as is any video or screenshots you can include. Cheaters are frequently coming up with new methods to use, and we are always updating our methods of catching them. Because of that, any information we can get from players is not only useful in catching cheaters related to their report, but also in helping us identify new cheating methods and patterns, which lets us catch more cheaters, more quickly.
