Oof, let's see

Also, positive and negative depend on other circumstances. E.g. matador, if there was a node that punished you for using specials and one that punished you for having any power, you'd probably want some way to turn off matador.

You're right, the extrapolation isn't that easily possible (no way the other guy could actually solo the 20+ minute fight I suggested). But we're just judging the performance in those 2 minutes, any potential missed inputs that might've happened after aren't relevant. Extrapolating the performance can show more easily why…

No, it's to be the better player. With unlimited time the other guy probably could've won a match against that opponent with another 10 times more health. If your opponent had had 50% more you apparently would've died. I think it's pretty clear who played a better match.
-
Played them when we got energy for them and enjoyed them just fine. Now it feels like just another demanding, store-style side quest with an energy cost to end all energy costs.
-
Only if everyone keeps playing, which for lower players (Cav,UC) means keep losing. Can't imagine that'd make for a very engaging game mode. They could maybe fix/improve it by giving players a starting score based on progression. Would start a little more even than everyone in the same bracket.

They announced 4 buffs about 3 months ago. If you count the Shakespearean tragedy of Psycho Man, we got 3 of them over 3 months. The 4th will almost certainly follow in the 4th month aka. June.

5r5 Sentinel, 4 revives. Couple mistakes, couple risky heavies (1 of them didn't pay off, but I was dying of Bane. Instead I died of sp1toFaceitis). Was a pretty neat fight.
-
As far as I'm aware defenders can't cancel heavy charge into special. Even if they could, get him to throw another heavy and the unstoppable will fall off correctly.
-
It was supposed to be a month long beta that's now happening in May: https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/300863/adjusted-battlegrounds-beta-schedule-early-preview-2-april-20-27#latest

Yeah, probably gonna be that instead of keeping a buff around from a previous heavy, Mags will retrigger an unstoppable buff each time and the old one will go away. If he can't get another buff because he's been hit he won't have a buff.

I wouldn't expect a thing from July 4 unit offers.
-
Thank you ^^ It probably got lost among the other stuff, so just to make sure: Steven and Jake both have their own pretty powerful purify mechanics. It's just Marc who can't purify in this concept (and tbh, I think he'd be tough enough on defense)
-
I agree, and that's why I actually tried to tone it's effect down considerably (tho I also think it's a fascinating mechanic). The phases only decide the starting personality and give him some stat boosts. But the personality can be changed to whichever one you want with just an sp1 and controlling your combo. And even at…

Only if the scoreboard goes significantly higher than A...
-
If you don't lock in your attacker or defender it randomly picks one, even if you've already selected a champ. Really annoyed me a few times when I had to consider my options a bit and before I could lock my pick in it swaps the champ back out to choose the worst possible option.
-
Some time ago they announced buffs for psycho man, gamora, storm and DPX. We got Gamora and Psychoman was looked at and left as-was. So I'd assume either storm or Deadpool are next
-
Not really tho. Since they had more health left it's reasonable to assume they would've been able to beat the opponent had they had more time. But you had almost no health left, so if your opponent had had more health you would've likely been defeated. Makes sense that you don't just win by default.

I can only speak for myself here and my feelings towards this, but yes, after thinking about this for a bit, I find it rather demotivating. Currently, I'm in a position where all content in the game is open to me, there's nothing I'm not allowed to do on principle. With Paragon that will no longer be the case. That itself…

Damn, I didn't want this comment to age well...
-
No fully formed ones at least. Hardly any fragments either.
-
With attack and health boosts, but yeah. Just safeguard
-
I liked it more than maso in the few fights I just played tbh
-
Not 7*, 6r5. Cause 7* would actually have some value, and Kabam can't ask players to do something that's good/useful for their account to get a new progression title.
-
This is a lazy, unimaginative, and frankly shameful way to try and make r4s relevant to players outside of the prestige race. At least try to make r4s worth their catalysts before doing something like this
-
Impressive. Every change in that list is totally awesome!
-
Yeah, sorry. Thought "the cat's meow" gave bonus points for defeating sinister 6. It was an objective for 10 fights against them, pretty much the same rewards as Spidey Sense objective
-
There is a solo event that requires beating sinister 6 and symbiotes
-
It's a Thor movie, not an Olympians movie, and it's made by Taika, and the villain is called the God Butcher.
-
Gorr to kill them all within 10 minutes of screentime?
