The energy is just movement points. Just do quests that take quest energy and once you've used 2500 you'll get the reward.

Taking away the damage from his l2 is not even close to enough! How is this guy king of the Inhumans? Karnak is tougher. His l1 ought to do permanent armor breaks. His fury and cruelty should come from doing damage - not from taking damage. At this point he's only useful for boosting Karnak and Medusa. It's almost a shame…
