You know, as the discord moderator in question that you’re providing “feedback” about, I do wonder why you’re insisting I timed you out for my “own amusement” after only one warning when DNA posted the receipts for the FOUR times I warned you to move on from the conversation. You repeatedly responded to those messages I…

Angela & Odin - perfect for Incursions runs in general. Bring those two, pick Buff Cornucopia and prosper.

All right, I'm off and back to work darlings! Have fun! <3

Gold gain: Whether it's good or not doesn't matter. It's not enough to keep up with rank up materials and shards you receive. That's the point. As for whether it's a reasonable amount of rank ups, and how many catalysts someone acquires - that's on them. I can only point to the math and say gold is a far more valuable…

I recommend reading the thread I started. The simple reality is that sometimes game design (and offers) need to be tailored around the players who will make the worst possible decisions for their account, and this is one of those cases. For everyone passionately saying players should be allowed to make their own mistakes…
-
It's called FOMO and "Players have no ability to control themselves sometimes so game design has to do it for them". Yes, players should be allowed to make bad decisions. But SOMETIMES, game design needs to do that for them.
-
They're completely different and separate things, and you can't compare them, so I won't bother. And you might remember the gold offers as popular, but I don't. I remember people being furious with them. They had no warning so they could have farmed up gold. They had no idea how much they could get, so they sold all their…
-
We don't know what was in the offers, so of course that couldn't be included in the calculations. I can only work with the information that I have. But even if you got rank up gems - you still have to spend the gold. They don't replace gold, they still cost gold to use. So even if you bought rank up gems for gold, you'd…

Do I think players should be able to determine whether or not the take the gold/ISO hit? Yes, but also no. I think there are already many places where players can choose to make bad decisions about gold (such as using the wrong type of ISO, which is one of the worst gold-based decisions you can make in the game) and how to…
-
Gal, actually, but thanks! I spend a lot of time in the community - line chats, discords, the forums, youtube channels. I can say pretty definitively that "How do I get more gold?" is one of the most frequent questions asked by players - because they don't have enough. And again, this post isn't about me, or my experience…
-
The counter point was wrong, and I said so, but clarified further down! Ultimately, it comes down to a variation of this: There are people who have enough gold to get these offers. They are not the majority. Creating offers like this, that everyone has the potential to get - but only a few wouldn't cause short-term damage…
-
That's nice! Offers can't be made for the minority that would severely impact and hurt the majority! Not how it works!
-
Good sir, since you appear to need a condensed variation of my point, here it is: We get a lot more champions now. They are expensive to rank up. Gold is hard to acquire if you do not do arena. It is easy to blow through gold quickly as a result of those things. Not running gold offers was a good idea because it is a…
-
And if most players took the time to bother to be efficient - they wouldn't have gold or ISO problems. You're very right there! But sadly, that is not the case for the majority of players, and as a result, making an offer that would hurt the majority, rather than help them, is not a good idea. (Especially if said majority…
-
The only bad argument here is saying, "I have it so the offers are a good idea!" But that's okay! Not everyone's arguments can be based in math. :)
-
Congratulations on being one of the few! Everyone is not you! When you are in the minority (and you RESOUNDINGLY are), offers will not be tailored to your resource excesses, but toward what the majority of the community needs.
-
They did pump a ton of gold into the economy in this event, you're very right there - but I think it has everything to do with the costs that I'm illustrating above, rather than prepping for an offer event of any kind. Gold is a problem for a lot of people - and not having the right types of ISO, or the ability to get the…
-
Well that is most certainly a TAKE. Thank you for your non-contributory response that had nothing at all to do with the points I was making! Have a lovely afternoon!
-
Agreed! But that's the extreme end of the spectrum. Something more realistic - would be wanting to take a new Hercules or Doom to R3. That's very doable these days - but gold is one of the main things that stand in the way. It either stands in the way because you're using the wrong type of ISO (making it worse), or because…

If that is what you took away from the post, good samaritan, I am afraid I cannot help you. On your way.

Stardew Valley has been one of my favorite games for years... minmaxing til the day I die, sir!

If you would love an attempt at an answer of #2, here's a thread explaining why it would have been a terrible idea: https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/316537/why-gold-offers-would-have-been-a-horrible-idea/p1?new=1! Put simply - they were a bad idea to begin with, Kabam realized they were a bad idea…
-
i think that definitely has the possibility to be a problem - but I think we're assuming it'll be a problem before it IS. The other thing is - if you play other competitive games, this kind of stuff isn't new, and unfortunately no game is above people who will try to make the system work for them any way that they can. At…
-
The amount of units I had to spend on energy refills to hit all of them says distinctly otherwise, lol.
-
I guess we'll have to wait and see then, won't we? There's still plenty of rewards I'll be going for, even if I can't pick up a 6* awakening gem. That single reward isn't the end-all, be-all. There's plenty of other rewards to be had and I'm happy to focus on those, and I'm sure other people are too. Just because the high…
-
People hated the prior objectives and ignored them most of the time, despite the lucrative rewards you could pick up, and I would know. I grabbed all of them across all of the betas. They weren't proper incentive to play the game mode, and now everyone has better incentive.
-
Unfortunately, doing something like that ends up de-incentivizing people who know they can never reach the top and beat some of the best players in the game, so they're just not going to bother. You have to keep enough people playing the game mode to ensure matches are happening. The best way to do that is to incentivize…
-
Most other competitive game modes have some reporting functionality - it'd be strange to launch the mode without it since no automated system is ever perfect. I'd much rather have the reporting function than not, personally.

Checked the post and it looks like it got updated! So it applies to all defenders.
