The group I'm in finally sneaked into platinum 2 riding a great win streak. With one war left to go we were incredibly pumped at the prospect of getting platinum 2 rewards and knew that it all came down to how we performed in our last war.
We look for a match and 15 minutes later nothing. 30 minutes later nothing. An hour later and we finally find a match, we breathe a sigh of relief until we see the +/-

......114 points for a win and -2 points for a loss. With our current rating in the 2600 range we are going up against a 3300+ rating alliance for our last war which will determine platinum 2 or 3. A whole season of grinding for it to come down to the last war which is basically a death match. Only 5 groups have a 3300+ rating in this entire game. This no longer came down to us but rather a terrible match making system. We're obviously going to try our best but if whoever we play decides to win, they will simple as that.
Why is this bad?
1) Well for us it's obvious. We need a win to stay platinum 2 and unless 30 meteors hit all of these guys houses we'll lose.
2) If they decided to lose for whatever reason (maybe the -114 will give them easier matches for next season) that would be unfair to everybody below us that are chasing us for our spot in platinum 2.
3) If whoever we are facing needs this win to get into top 3 that would be unfair to the top 3rd spot (since 1 and 2 seem to be locked in) they would be kicking out because they got an incredibly favorable match-up.
