Typically arrogance is coupled with ignorance. He did apologize and admit fault so that's something. Personally, I OCCASIONALLY spend a few bucks here and there on this game. 95% of my progression is F2P. Truth is, if you enjoy something and want to invest in it, that's all on you. Frankly, I wouldn't spend a dime to watch a bunch of people run around chasing other people with a ball and jumping upon one another (Football). Yet, it's still a thriving form of entertainment. Do I judge those that choose to enjoy it? No. To each their own. I think it's a little crazy to spend enough money to buy a high end car or house on a game. But hey, power to yah if yah can. Fact is, those that do such allow those of us who don't have that kind of disposable income to enjoy the game. So thanks!
In the meantime, enjoy playing, treat others with a monochrome of respect, and remember there's things everyone does that others would find ridiculous and frivolous. 'One man's trash is another man's treasure.' Trash and treasure come in MANY forms. Time consumption on a game could be viewed as trash to some, and others will treasure it. Spending world currency on a game clearly can viewed in the same light. Simple as that.
@MattMan people who do those other things for a hobby are actually learning something. What life experience does this game give you? It’s nothing but temporary enjoyment. I’ve never seen someone call a game they really like their #1 hobby.

i know people that tenpin bowl 3 times a week. i know people that see multiple movies at the cinemas every week. i know people that spend hundreds a the pub every week. i know people that blow hundreds on rides at a local carnival / theme park.
what do all of these things and spending money on a video game have in common? YOU ARE TRADING YOUR MONEY FOR FUN. maybe 1hr, maybe 2hrs maybe more. but your money is being traded for nothing other than hours of fun and enjoyment.
the best and most important thing in life is fun. if something brings you fun it is the exact opposite of a waste of money.
it could easily be argued that money sitting in your bank is a waste. what is the point of having something that you are not going to use and enjoy. anything could happen tomorrow and your money might disappear or something might happen to you and your money will be no good to you once you are dead.
you do what you want to do with your life and your money and you shut up and let others do with their life and their money what they want that brings them fun.
there is no point to anything in life if we cant enjoy it disappear.
also people spend thousands and thousands particularly on music and music related. whether it be concerts and shows, cds and itunes, spotify or otherwise. this is money that gives you nothing other than enjoyment. but has been a thriving industry for decades. dunno when people started buying and selling music but i would say over 100years ago.
