Parry Not Working Properly

Yesterday morning I was fighting a Nightcrawler with my Ms Marvel in alliance war. I continuously parried and saw the green text indicate "parry", however, Nightcrawler kept attacking without being stunned. Parry was inconsistent throughout the duration of the fight - sometimes I would see the green text and Nightcrawler would be stunned, but sometimes I would clearly parry and he would keep coming after me.

The NC I was fighting was the miniboss on the right side in alliance war. There are 3 buffs on that node - two for attack/health and one for Infinity Blast. No stun immunity was listed.
