No interest in featured crystals/bundles

Since the Cull announcement, I stopped using units on the featured crystals/bundles as you dont know what the champion is actually going to end up being for 6 months. I was wondering how many others in the community have as well?

Why, nerfs have always happened, and will always be possible. Stopping because of a specific nerf is silly.

About as silly as jumping onto a thread and steering it off topic for no apparent reason. OP has a very good point and I agree with his thinking. I wouldn't be inclined to throw away resources either.

just because you disagree with me does not mean I am steering it off topic, my question was on topic. Again there has always been that risk, and they have nerfed in the past. You never know if the FOTM champion is going to be nerfed because of him being over powered when you put into him..

I myself have spent more because I believe more in thier willingness to keep the game as balanced as they can.

Before I put money or units into something I want to know what I am buying. And then all the resources to rank up makes it useless until you know what exactly it is in 6 months

OP doesn't have a good point at all. Culls announcement is that they are LOOKING at tweaking his damage output but the goal is to keep him as a top damage dealer. Nothing is finalized about what they will do. People are jumping off cliffs with this whole thing and making iy a bigger deal that what it is.

Spend or dont spend, that's your choice. They can/will make changes regardless as its their game and they can but dont twist situations around. Look at them for what they are. They havent gone on a nerfing spree and they dont plan to.

Same here, OP. No regrets. Although I have a duped 5/65 Cull, it really doesn’t matter much to me whether he ends up being better or worse. The announcement that he was going to be changed at all, somehow did it for me. So many things have been broken for years, like certain masteries (e.g inequity) and don’t get any attention. And keep being advertized too. Then there are champions that don’t perform as they should per their description, and nobody pays attention to those issues either. And if someone does, the description itself is changed. Ta da! And that are just a few examples. Let’s not even start discussing the way the overheating issue That literally melted a few of my friends iPhones was handled. In game warning? Nah. And the list goes on.

On the flipside, when bugs (are they?) or imbalances (are they?) benefit the player base, everything is overhauled. That’s all fine and dandy, but it’s not necessarily a process or practice that I want to invest my hard earned money in anymore. To each his own, of course.

Exactly. We hated the game from the start. But we loved to spend on it. You stoned two nails with one bird.

I agree with the OP, on Cull as someone who has a R4 duped, plus coupled with other changes that specifically only "fixed" bugs that benefited the player base, such as fast heavies and not slow heavies... very quickly, yet "bugs" that affect the player base are left for months or years. I am just tired of the one sided fixes and utter lack of communication.

Parry is another one - clearly Parry 2/3 and Parry 3/3 state that they should extend the stun time, yet do not. Easy programming change to fix - VERY... yet nothing for MONTHS.

Same for people who do continue to spend on those crystals. I have zero issues with that. Hell, mystery gifts can be enticing. 😉 I guess some people who responded assumed you meant to voice some broader opinion. Me, I just took it for what it was: interest in whether or not the rebalancing of Cull influenced people’s approach to either spending real money on certain items and/or allocating units gained through gameplay. Since i was curious as well, I piped in. For me, it changed everything, but that’s because I already wasn’t impressed by a lot of other (non) actions, (non) explanations and vague justifications. What everyone else does, is up to them. I was curious, sure, but it isn’t my money. And doesn’t affect me in the slightest.
