Was wondering this as well, hoarded shards just in case but might just open them in case they’re only available in offers/end game content

Most likely with offers or perhaps act 6 completion/exploration. Can't certainly tell at this time. Perhaps it will release in the future for like 20k 5* shards for 1 Nexus or something. But no one can really pinpoint Kabams thinking for very new things
