Are characters that are immune to incinerate (Iceman, Silver Surfer) immune to the damage from Mephisto's incineration field? How do I counter the damage from it?

Yes, his ability deals incinerate damage and characters that are immune to incinerate effects will be immune to that damage.
It's also energy damage, so characters with high energy resistence will suffer less damage

Silver Surfer isn't incinerate immune, so Mephisto's Aura will fry him.

Yes and characters like claire who benefit from taking debuffs they are immune to eill get their charges ht will get his smolders and absolutely wreck if you use prefight since its energy damage

And anybody who absorbs energy like Bishop, Brie Larson, Havok, even Mephisto himself will take that energy to fight back with a more consistent power gain.
