Death match. Problem for small roster players.

I won his fight. No a complaint for myself. But a warning. 9000 average rating won’t guarantee you won’t get a death match.

It happened with me once in the 4* arena i got my 4* rank 1 lvl 10 matched agaisnt 4* rank 5 opponents

Newer players that can't dex, evade, intercept probably won't have enough champs to really do the 5* featured arena.
But that's a bit beside the point, maybe the introduction of 6*R3 champs have changed the arena streak?

Well actually it’s the other way around. As the summoners keep progressing in the game while collecting more and more champions then it’s only reasonable that there are more r5 champions. 6* was just now able to be r3 and that changes the whole thing about the Meta data hence why the infinite streak formula changes a lot or a bit.

That's not even a real death match. Each of those fights is just about double your rating. That's typical around fight 12, 13. I usually make sure I use power control champs just for those fights.

The streak hasn't changed in the featured. I've been doing that arena forever. It just gets easier the more champs you have, less grinding. But getting the streak has been the same for me since day 1. Fights 12 and 13 are usually the hardest. 15 should be your top champs. Then wait for refresh and you should be able to start at the top of your roster and work your way down to a particular point.

Save your best teams for matches 10-15. Refresh, if you need to. Thats what i used to do early days.
Or use 2 r4-r5 with a r1. You win the series 2-1, you keep your streak

I sandbag with a r1 4* and 2 champions no lower than 3/30 or 1/25 and no higher than 4/40 or 2/35 from match 11-13. Matches 14, and 15 I do a single 4/55 and 2x 3/45's and then save my 5/65's and higher PI 4/55's for matches 16-19 so I can get equal PI teams to maximize my points.

Death matches are when you get that 5/65 against your team of R1/2 5*. You could end each of those fights by the sp3, and you could eat and sp3 and still win.

I rarely bother trying to bait specials unless I get an actual death match

Same here. But I seem to remember needing to before my roster developed. 🤔

Arenas should seriously be looked at. After 60 days you need to compete with players playing for 3-5 years and you can never compete with them even with all your units boosts and time to get a new featured champ. There should be many separate brackets that distinguish arena grinders on basis of how old the account is. The system at present is incompetent and laughable

you can beat 5/65's with the right 4/40's and 5/50's
EDIT: especially considering that most arena fights are against low level bots where cavalier players fight like summoners

For the 4* Arenas. Around fights 12-15, to keep the streak going your team rating should have around 13.5K - 14K...then rounds 16-18, around 15K & you've got your infinity streak.
