Being an Officer in an Active Alliance

Just wanted to share something about being an officer in an alliance.
We've made it a point to promote positive attitude towards alliance mates and it is understood that every single member has a role in alliance activities. As un-proud of it as I am, I've removed more members than I would ideally want. But all of them were done with proper basis.
Officers understand and usually accept the reasons given by their members when they're inactive. But reasonable lapses in activity have a clear distinction from simple laziness. Proper officers not only have to worry about giving consideration to real life demands of their members, but also have to maintain the trust and confidence of the other members who are actually able to balance mcoc and real life.
And when it comes to a point where the decent members who are being negatively affected are already raising their issues about an obviously problematic member, and given that due consideration has already been given, it is the officers' duty to either put out an ultimatum on the problem member or kick them right out. Getting and maintaining contributing members is always a higher priority than handing out endless considerations to slackers and leeches.
Just something to think about for those who feel their leadership is seemingly too heavy-handed. Loyalty is earned within an Alliance after you enter it. Noone is entitled to it from the start. Be loyal to your alliance, and assuming your leadership is properly reasonable, it'll be loyal to you.
Cheers 🍻
