Rotating War Tactics

I know that Kabam is revamping war (which is much needed) but I thought I'd throw a nugget out there to consider in the interim or even if they decided to bring tactics back (which they shouldn't lol).

Make alliances have to use all of the tactics on a rotating system. So if an alliance uses Flow, then they can't use Flow again until they've used all of the other tactics. And just have them rotate per use. If you use Stubborn, then it becomes unavailable again until you've used the other tactics. etc etc

This would help with "Flow Wars" as they are right now. Let's face it, attacker tactics did nothing. But a good rotating system will bring some variety back to war and you get to see different scenarios etc instead of the same old Mojo boss etc.

Just a thought ... it would force alliances to have to really consider when to break out their favorite tactic during the season if it stands to impact their rating.

The issue with this is the huge amount of planning, people would have to plan a defence tailored to multiple tactics. In terms of gameplay it would make it much more dynamic and keep it fresh, but the planning would simply be too much

that's what war should be though ya know ... strategy, planning etc. right now it's a mindless rotation of the same old same.

I really like this idea. While there may be some extra planning if you want to maximize for each tactic, I think it keeps wars fresh and you on your toes.

It's a nice idea, like what Lvernon said, it would be too much for officers to plan different aw defences per tactic.

Unless ofc, we can have a QoL change for offficers / leader to assign pre-sets for AW defence.

Or maybe rather than every war. For the change every week.

And ofc dont forget to revamp the rewards for the lower tiers

In theory the idea is good, in practice you are asking officers to plan 5 different sets of defences and members to then remember which rotation it is and place that specific defence.

Would just create a massive amount of work for officers and confusion for members unless Kabam gave some some sort of auto placement in game that would allow an officer to pre plan all the different defences and ring fence those defenders in some way, which probably isn’t going to happen

this is what it's all about ... dialog when ideas come about to enhance the game. love that auto placement thing. but really i don't think it would take much .. i'm an officer and i run spreadsheets ... it would just be a tweak here or there and proper communicating that to the players. you could likely run the same champs across multiple tactics but just having a mandated changeup when it comes to tactics i think would be great for war.

instead of running one tactic for the entirety of war.

Indeed, as I said it’s a good idea but in practice I just think it’s more confusion.

If they did completely random attack & defence tactics at the start of each war (from a sample section of 10 for example) that could work so you wouldn’t be allowed to tailor your defence to the tactics you just have to fight them.

However it would go against the principle of a tactic but would keep it fresh.

I’m an alliance leader and do defence for 1 of the BG’s and the thought of having to do 5 different ones makes me shudder 😂
