I tell them that MCOC is hard, but it’s really not that difficult to figure out. A few basic hand movements, repeated for a few minutes, and you’ll reach the finish.

Hulkbuster is a separate moniker actually, Bruce Banner was also Hulkbuster so you're not quite right.

It's a 3 step process

1. I tell them about the game
2. They laugh at me and mock me for playing the game
3. A few months/years later they themselves are playing the game and trying to act cool

Works with every game for me. Back in Minecraft's golden age I used to be mocked for playing it. Now everyone and their mum plays it (on cracked/ knockoff android versions baah peasants)

Both my parents and girlfriend believe I am addicted to this game and think I should delete it, but I've had this game since the day it came out so I never listen to them lol. There's only one person that I know that also plays this game so it's nice whenever I see them to actually talk in person instead of talking only your alliance mates.

Me and my friends all play the game and we are at a similar level of uncollected/cavalier. So it is pretty easy to talk to the about mcoc and we also have some friendly rivalry.
