I think a good case can be made for both. I had as first choice Morbius and as second Hercules. But now I've seen the concept for Hercules, I'm reconsidering voting for Omega Sentinel.
Why are u considering to vote for OS
Some red flags: the need to ramp-up, requiring dash back-intercept instead of parry and the exact complicated playstyle. Omega Sentinel seems to be a champion you can customise with regen and utility, which this game needs.
I think the direction of future content (i.e. Cavalier difficulty and Book 2) also trends towards valuing wider utility champs, which means I think the odds of OS being widely useful in later content are higher than for Herc. There's no way to be sure without seeing their implementations (and which ever way the vote goes, we'll never know what they both would have looked like) but I'd still place my bet on an adaptable cyborg over a ramp up slugger.
For reference, a good example of a ramp up slugger is Colossus who is a really good champ. But he is valuable not just because of his ramp up offense, but also because his armor and immunities make him useful in a wider range of situations. I don't see the same opportunity to make Hercules have similar defensive utility. Omega Sentinel, on the other hand, has a huge opportunity to have defensive utility that makes her survivable in lots of different situations.
People thought that Colossus was going to be a dud because he was just going to be a defensive tank. People also though the same thing only moreso when it came to Hulkbuster. They were wrong both times. I called both the other way, thinking that the devs were more likely to make both of them more useful on offense than people were giving credit for, because I think in both cases there was a perceived problem that HB and Colossus were so undervalued no one used them. You don't convince players to use a champ by making them a good defender.
That thought process doesn't hold as strongly for a new champ as it does for a champ you're trying to revitalize. But I think the devs are more likely to lean towards making the 2021 vote champ a useful attacker than a useful defender, because useful attackers are just more highly valued, and they'd be inclined to make the voting champ be useful to make the voting program itself successful. So if the devs lean OS towards offense than defense, that would greatly increase the likelihood of OS being a very strong champ, because a strong attacker that *also* has strong defensive utility tends to be a pretty good champ, like Colossus.

Both concepts are great. It's just how Kabam applies them that matters.
To be honest, after seeing such strong backing and popularity for both characters, I suggest Kabam release both, the winner at earlier time in 2021 and the 2nd place late in 2021.

I don't think a single Omega Sentinel voter wants or cares to see Hercules in game. Not after the ramp up bit at least ..

I know I don't, I personally am not into another heavy ramp up champ right now.

I just don’t want anymore ramp up champs full stop. Can’t stand them.
