Fresh Cavalier Player, What next?

Just got Cavalier title a week ago, and getting most of the event stuff done that I need. What should I do next?
I was thinking about variants but I'm not sure my roster is developed enough for that.
My current rank up plans are to take Magneto to R4, then Guillotine 2099 to R4. (Is that OK?)
Im also having the issue of T1Alpha shortage. I'm trying not to rank up people I don't need but as I'm not fully aware of who that is its becoming a problem. I have the Black Market ISO store for those 2, and I spend all my Glory on T1's as well but I only get enough glory for 3 or so of them.
Should I look for a new alliance? The one im in is currently Tier 15, but not sure I have the roster to try to join something higher.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You're fine alliance wise imo. Don't go after too high, not too low.
I'd say taking Havok/Mags/G2099 to r5 is a good start.
Master-Heroic levels of EQ awards a few T1A for completion
