AI really passive in Arena

Ive been trying out the new arenas lately and I noticed they are really passive and are holding their heavies and won't rush in at all. They also don't throw specials. I am in the 6* arena and the Shang-Chi shard/tournament arena and both are passive there.

Personally I've noticed a very large increase in me getting parried in arena. It's annoying to say the least.
Before this "QoL change" to arenas, this almost never happened. Now it's happening every single fight.

Not as much but they just hold block and dash back and hold their heavies
