I don’t think it will be sooner, and if it is, it won’t be by much. I don’t think you realize just how long and hard the whole process designing a character kit from ground up really is. First of all, they need to develop a concept to build off of. Then they have to actually put said concept into a character kit with abilities that makes the character unique on at least some level. Then they need to add numerical values to said abilities, and then program it to make sure they work with the many, many, many interactions with the over 200 characters that are in this game (or will be).After they do that, they need to go through rigorous testing with multiple different nodes and characters to not only make sure everything is working properly, but to also make sure the character is balanced. If the latter part fails, they simply revisit the programing and fix it. But if the former fails the test, they have to completely re-evaluate the character to reassess the numerical values put on the character and maybe even the abilities of the character as a whole depending on how severe the imbalances are. After they make that evaluation, they go through more rigorous testing to repeat the process until they reach a satisfactory point. Making and buffing characters is not as easy as you might think.
