Finally out in the open. First major youtuber acknowledging a major bug!

Thank you KT1, this has made my day.
It is very frustrating as this has been happening to me for two months or so.
Its very hard to do major content like this and if this happens in AW or AQ, everyone thinks you're looking for excuses.
I have been wondering for a long time now, how come the youtubers don't get these problems at all, how come it does not happen in their streams or so.
But its finally acknowledged by someone, so I am not crazy

Happened to me in war the other day. Sorcerer supreme Vs mix master Nick Fury, and she threw a random heavy out of nowhere. So she instantly got retaliated against, and died...
Luckily it's off-season.

Another case is when I was exploring uncollected EQ and the left side of the screen became completely unresponsive inside fights (and only infight). No blocking, no dash back. Almost had to spend some items to clear the G99 boss. Haven't spent items on UC in about a year. Had to restart my phone afterwards to dispel the issue (simply reloading the game didn't solve it).

Light attacks are dropped, and end up getting smacked as they are read as being heavies.

I was having the same issues.

Then I cleaned my screen because it's been hot recently and my grubby fingers left residues on there.

Then the random inputs stopped.

I do solve a lot of issues by cleaning my iPad.

Watch the video guys before recommending to clean your screen.
This is not caused by sticky fingers or anything like that.

does this involve the SP button having to be pressed to death before it'll register the SP? that's my single, greatest frustration ... i have to hit it 3-4 times before it throws my special and almost always when the defender is across the screen .. so i'm sitting there frantically pressing the SP button as they dash at me to brutalize me lol

Yes they do, but not this one in particular.
I have heard/read in the past that those who are in CCP can't be very critical of the game, otherwise they're gonna be kicked out of CCP altogether. Whether that's true or not, I don't know, but truth to be told, it doesn't happen very often that you find a video commenting on bugs and showing the negative things to the community. That is definitely commendable.
KT1 is not in CCP, so there is no harm to him I suppose, nevertheless I appreciate the fact that he pointed out the issue.

In regards to the issue itself, I am not the only one in my alliance who constantly struggles with this over past month or two. Champions suddenly stop responding, charging heavies on their own, dash front and back as if they played the game on their own.
I play on android, fairly new phone, my team mate from alliance plays on Ipad, same thing is happening to him as well.
Issue started about the same time when autoplay was introduced to the game, who knows if it has something to do with that, we can only guess.

Bottom line is, it has been very frustrating, especially in AW and AQ and now, thanks for the video above, its out there and people who do experience these issues know, that they're not alone and its not them, who suddenly turned to bad players. That was the whole point of me posting this, I wasn't trying to imply anything else.

While I've had the occasional dropped input (you know those wtf did my champ just do moments) over the last month or two, it has really been today that the lost inputs have really made me think I'm going cray cray.

Dropped blocks, failure to dash at random moments. I thought I was having an off day... cause I have them but these are different. I swear I've been doing the required movements and I've been puzzled. Good to know I'm not actually crazy and others are experiencing it too.

I see @RichTheMan having this issue all the time on his twitch stream and complaining about dropped inputs. So its not just KT1

Unfortunately, its a common issue, but some just arent as vocal about it, or maybe because of the device arent having the issue

It's highly probable that this happens at least some of the time, but this game also requires fairly precise timing over long periods of time. You will never know with 100% certainty whether it was a dropped input or something you did (or failed to do). The most likely reason people don't bring it up more is because the bug (if it exists) makes you question your own sanity, did something happen or did I cause it?

Until such time as it stops happening, I just assume it was my fault and try to play better.

About time. The worst time is in incursions. In the final zones when a single combo could end you and your stupid champ starts charging a heavy in the middle of a combo or suddenly stop attacking to get wrecked.

Yep my game will lag, just be frozen and I'll tap slowly and consistently so that when it comes back it's a light attack. Nope, heavy. Lots of similar issues. I parry and no stun, stuff like that.

Dropped inputs is definitely a thing, kept getting smacked with quake, thought I was just out of practice but then I switched to a better device and didn't have that problem anymore

This is actually awesome, I didn’t realize it was regarding dropped inputs when I read “bugs” in the title. I’ve been commenting nonstop about these performance related issues , and nothing ever happens or even gets acknowledged to say the least which is really beyond me . A game shouldn’t just be about pumping as much content out there as possible, it should seek to improve dropped inputs /performance issues like this.

I’ve had a load of different inputs dropped, I’ll go ahead and list some:

1) dexing , i would swipe back and during enemy specials , sometimes my champ won’t dex. I can’t consistently dex apocs sp2 even though i can vtd’s sp2 just because of this

2) heavying randomly in the middle of a combo

3) dropped light attack in the middle of a 4 or 5 hit combo

4) holding block when my thumb isnt even touching the left side of the screen

5) unable to dex back during opponents heavy (use to happen a lot on v5 stun immune captain mavel)

And for #6....

A list wouldn’t be complete without Quake, during her dex method she occasionally just stands there in the middle of the rotation due to a dropped input.

To all of you that have been a victim of one of these dropped inputs, I encourage you to keep speaking regarding the issue as the way it’s currently setup is the threads just get moved to a bugs section of the forum where you’re asked to provide information on your phone following a template, but clearly the followup isnt there as we haven’t actually seen performance issues like this be acknowledged by kabam even just once yet

Sorry for the rant, but this issue just really makes the game frustrating to play

Just run along with bugs and lag, and adapt how to counter the advance AI feature called a BUG.

Bugs doesn't surprise me anymore, if any happens, I curse and move on.

A couple of weeks ago I felt better when I saw Lagacy getting awful lag like I do.

And when BG does long grinds, it gets so bad that be has to reboot the phone.

I am just shocked that they can get through difficult content without more issues.
