Does Hercules live up to the hype?

Prestige aside, is Hercules currently the best Cosmic champion in the game to justify the record cutoff for the 6 star arena? The cutoff numbers are mind boggling! Does he live up to the hype?

I definetly think he is top 2 cosmic with an argument for number one. I just like that his damage is so reliable and so potent right out of the gate

To be perfectly honest - the prestige is going to be most likely the main reason he went so high. He may be great he may be #1 cosmic - I think it's too early to tell - but the top spenders in the arena game are the same folks that need every bit of prestige they can squeeze out. Math-wise even with the score this high it still should end up cheaper than pulling on cav crystals.

He is a fantastic champ but we all know who the best cosmic champ is in the game. Groot of course (hence why he's never getting buffed).

No, but yes. Partially because his hype is just that huge.

TL;DR: IMO he's basically a Corvus-cheese alternative that has top tier prestige.

High prestige, high damage, suicide compatibility, and the cheat death mechanic are his main selling points. He's basically just a really good beatstick that will do well against 'Miss/Autoblock' nodes, vanilla content, and in AQ. Can't say anything about AW as I don't play that.

Though I said he's similar to Corvus, Corvus only needs sig 1, breaks all armor on Parry, and reduces potency of bleed, shock, frostbite, and coldsnap by 100%. I'd honestly rather run Corv if the health-pools allow it.

That said, if we're talking 5*, a max-sig Herc will have more of a shelf-life.

I personally don’t think he’s the best cosmic but no matter what your opinion is there has definitely not been enough time to tell if where he ranks in the cosmic class. Wait around 3 months then ask this question again. People should have a feel for where he lies then.

And I also definitely haven't had this rank 5 champ (that is clearly not CGR) for the past 6 months, and I also definitely didn't use an AG on him 😑.

He's a great champ, don't get me wrong; but there's just something about the utility that screams inadequacy. I know his rotations, I've used him to solo labyrinth fights, used him many many times to farm potions, in variant 6, a little bit of act 7. BUT whenever I need a cosmic champ for a path or something, I find it hard to justify bringing him over the likes of Corvus, Hype and Angela, especially in act 6 which is still the epitome of tough content in present day.

Why would I consider him overrated? Well it's because of people going around making it seem like he's an absolutely insane powerhouse outside of damage. But they look at the 30k mediums and overlook practicality.

The immortality is powerful. Used my 6s generic AG on him. Awesome utility and damage.

The way his immortality works could be insanely useful. Might take some skill and AI cooperation but I feel like you could probably drag it on for 30+ seconds

he really is. i know we don't like to call things too early like that, we like the champion to get some shelf life and be in the featured crystal at the very least - but this guy genuinely is. theres tons of content out there showing him - just earnestly watch it.

I have a 6* rank 3 cgr and he is a beast imo I think a 6* Hyperion will rule the cosmic class. The problem with cgr is just messing up the rotation and making sure no node gets in the way of his rotation. But any champ that can take out 200kish hit points before the AI can get to sp2 should not be overlooked.
