Even my 5* r1 does quite good damage.
His power steal on sp2 is OP
So many opponents become vastly less threatening once they stop throwing Specials.
And so many nodes become almost irrelevant, like Aspect of Evolution and Typhoon. More than good against EMP modification, Footloose, Static Blast, and Perforate. I could go on, but you get the point.
Not always the best choice, though. Sometimes you actually want the opponent to throw Specials (e.g. Matador nodes). And don't ever take him against Thing!
Guardian? Lmao no.
Unless she is dupped, there isn't more to her. You have no chance of getting 9 SPs. I tried w my 3k PI Purgatory and had to go against 18k opponent to just barely get it.
My point was that she is thought to be absolutely useless, but her damage IS there, and a lot of it. As well as class unique niche utility (bcs she doesnt have to have the crossfight, she activates her vlass specific niche every time).
If she is dupped, she just wants to finish fights w an SP for tiny bonus. End of story
He is perfectly rated
Some love him (example: me)
Some don't
But no one can deny the utility and potential damage he brings
- One of the Fastest Power Locks in game. Fight starts, you hit the enemy and before they get to a bar of power the are power locked, you can now keep up this power lock 100% of the match meaning said enemy never gets to a bar all match when you play him right.
- One of the longest Power locks in game. I tend to use his SP2 rotation so it last about 11 seconds and you can refresh it with his sp1 and you also steal ANY power they get which means from basic attacks also so you're also getting back to a SP1 alittle faster. You can also just use his SP3 to make the power lock last 30 seconds and his sp1 refreshes it so full lock down with ease if needed.
- Heal Block is also Life steal to regen for days when fighting ANY champ with regen of ANY kind. Sinister got you down? Well make his crit regen into your own regen by blocking his and giving it to yourself.
- 0 damage on parry attacks AND Block almost on par with the Captain America's. Alot of players don't know but Ock has one of the best blocks in game. When you get close to 100 in his Chemistry you start to take less and less block damage and before you get to 100 you take 0 damage from parry attacks. His base block is 3576 and at 100 he gains another 2100 puts him in the top 5 for block in the entire game (well other champs have ways to get into the top 5 also like Carnage).
- Armor Up that gives him a shocking level of armor. Doom's armor is 2100 which is about 50% and Ock having a single armor up gives him 2100 which you add to his base of 525. You can stack up 3 of those for a total of 6300 which you couple with his crazy high block prof making him a VERY tanky champ.
His issue is he IS underrated but also players just don't understand how to use him and think he's only good for high power gain matches which ain't true. Just like players think Sym Supreme is only good vs alot of buffs which also isn't true but rather having alot of buffs just speeds SS up is all.
Ock's SP2 rotation is by far the best way to use him to get ALL of his utility at once without compromise and only getting some of it. Basically getting to his sp2 with all 3 of his categories at 100 means when you use said SP2 then a few things will happen. You will get a copy of whatever his current effect is at the start which means if he has an armor up already, he'll get two which is 4200 armor. If he has a power lock, he will get 2 which DOES make him power steal better and does give him more power even from basic attacks. If he already has a heal block, he will get two which again, does increase the life steal he can get.
The other effect of his SP2 when he's at 100 x3 is you will get his other two effects as well to go with whatever double effects he has.
So lets say he got to a SP2 and the enemy has a power lock on then. You use the SP2 and now they have 2 power locks on them, 1 heal block and he gets that armor up as well. At this point, you can just trap the enemy in the corner because what are they gonna do? They can't gain power, regen AND you can parry them and take 0 damage everytime AND you can refresh all of the effects on them with a SP1 so you can trap them and spam SP1s like it's nothing. Unless there's a node or ability that blocks any of this, Doc is one of the most oppressive champs in game.
You can also stack up 3 of each of his abilities as well with more SP2. 3 armor up, 3 heal blocks, 3 power locks. Don't need this but in matches with high regen or power, having more only helps Ock.
Also.'. at any point, you have use his heavy attack to detonate whatever effects are active. If you do the SP2 rotation and you have 4 effects up then that's about 25k-30k damage. Having all his effects maxed out gives a nice 50-60k burst damage. I tend to use this to end fights since it can mess up his corner traps.
She is also a fantastic matchup against Abomination, Mr. Negative (his delirium effect is a debuff, which means she can cleanse it), Air Walker, Human Torch (even if he’s got smolders somehow), Void, and really any champion who places annoying debuffs on you.
She’s also a reliable evade counter, can stack up a ton of bleed debuffs, has a phase wherein she practically has guaranteed crits, and hits hard in her own right. Not to mention her synergies with other champions are fantastic and help out a lot of other great champions. If I end up with the materials to r4 a skill champion first, she may honestly be my pick based on how much I use her.
