No, buff immunity counts as immunity. That shouldn’t prevent it

This can happen with every Hyperion but more so with this guy. Probably something to do with his charges

Definitely a bug, this has been happening a lot with my Claire lately, the most constant one is King Groot, whenever I place the buff immunity and it removes all his furies he will still gain his regen buff immediately.

Beginning of the month, Claire worked as intended against Ikarus in CAV eq. Explored UC today and he kept going unstoppable while buff immune. Something is up.
