Bug or AI change?

Anyone else having an issue with the defender blocking a special that you launch right at the end of a combo? I’m launching specials like I have 1 million times before at the end of my combo but now I’m being blocked all the time.

I’m not sure if that’s part of the AI change or if that’s a bug?

What I’ve recently also noticed is that some champs struggle to heavy spam like they did before. The AI response is so fast that you’ll can easily eat a combo. Happened to me in incursion with Corvus on tyranny node when the opponent was a hero. Got him in the corner 1st heavy, charged the second and got hit in the face. Tried again another fight when opponent was under 1bar, same thing happened and i didn’t try again

I used to reliably be able to parry at the beginning of fights, and bait specials. Now I can’t do either confidently.
If Kabam changed AI to increase challenge, it’s not fun.

A.I.s definitely been tweaked.their have been multiple threads about it going on a month now with no comment from the team. It would be nice to know if it's something they actually changed or a byproduct of them trying to fix the timing bugs in the engine. But with this much time with no response, gonna say the former unfortunately

I mean there is Ai then there is absolute witch craft, what isn't possible for even the best players to do the computer shouldn't be able to do. I think it's a bug no one can take a 4 or 5 hit combo and block a special no one. I am a blocker rather than dex'er and on multiple hit specials like winter soldiers sp2 the attack breakers through the block, that's not Ai either.
I am will to accept launching a special intercept which is not morally right, or not throwing a special and accumulating 3 bars or power or dexing a special attack are some serious and not too much fun changes to the ai

Current iPhone with current iOS, I have been having issues with left hand touch inputs to late not being registered , most noticeable for me is the sp button not registering and I don’t throw sp. the same with perry and dex. But hey come to expect that as normal and then it changes all again. Would be nice if kabam let us know when they have made a “tweak”. The new cav EQ nodes and this game is getting to the point of no return, game is broken be on repair…

Throne breaker playing for 3.5 years. I’ve had this happening too bud, you’re not alone. The AI recovery time is insanely fast and unrealistic.

Also ridiculous AI intercepts, when I go to attack/intercept as fast as possible I still get intercepted by the AI constantly now. AI is also consistently hitting through/totally ignoring blocks. Occasionally heavy attacks and specials aren’t registering and my character just stands there or gets pummeled.

The other bug I’ve had for a while is what I call the “dexing a heavy bug”. Basically when the AI goes to throw a heavy attack I get locked in place and can’t move(Similar to when Doom shocks & slaps you) and I get nailed by an unavoidable heavy even if I anticipate it and dex early. Is this considered part of the dex/parry bug, is anyone else experiencing this? I remember I used to be able to dex heavies way easier and even late at times.

If you react too quickly, the opposite happens and AI delays its reaction which usually leads to a light intercept or a "dex" of your medium, followed by a combo to the face.

All this has lead me to basically revert to a safer, more primitive gameplay. Parry, MLLL, dash back and wait for AI to dash into me and repeat. Even then, that too is risky depending on how parry feels that day.

This. I’ve taken to reparrying now as safer and more consistent than parrying a dash.

The recovery time thing has been going on for months personally, since the dex parry bug I’m pretty sure. I play a lot of shehulk and tigra and really noticed the difference, there just isn’t a window sometimes to punish the opponent heavy or specials, spam heavy, backdraft and stand up intercepts, things I’m ordinarily extremely reliable with and which are the fundamentals of gameplay with those champs.

Odd that it’s not consistent. Just don’t know what’s going on anymore. Game will go through periods of hours or days where it’s fairly normal vs as described above plus every 2nd or 3rd dex becoming a parry. The fact I hear of others on the same devices (i8, i12) having zero issues is confusing to say the least.

For last few weeks or so also getting the thing where I just freeze and can’t do anything while the opponent still moving as normal. I instantly think I’m heavy charging and try to release it but I’m just frozen in an idle animation. This can happen when I’m mid combo. Also getting the delayed special release at end of combo meaning it gets blocked.

The programming of the AI is simple. Whatever the player/user does, the AI can do it faster.

Pressing the screen for your own champions to do something, lets use intercept as an example, simply initiates the AI to react faster and prevent your request.

Behind all that is a difficulty setting, a bit like FIFA, so that if the game wants you to use an obscene amount of potions and revives it cranks it up to almost impossible.

Then you can go into a heroic level fight and literally have a nap between the AI attacks. LMFAO

@Kabam Miike @Kabam Zibiit @Kabam Porthos this is bad. If you guys know nothing about AI changes can you at least look into it. Even if you don’t plan on making changes if AI has been updated recently just let us know what’s possibly going on. These inconsistencies messes with our gameplay and sometimes your head while fighting.

There was definitely a change in the AI, I went back to playing in January and used the Quake a lot to explore act 5 and complete act 6. In most fights I easily caught 15+ on each wave of it and sometimes even reached 18. Currently the AI is very aggressive and it's hard to get 12 charges with it, they're fighting all the time when you're in the corner and before they were doing some backtracking.

I just really really can’t understand why was so much chatter about the AI Kabam cannot respond at least some thing??? I mean even if they say it’s working as intended that is some thing. Just really would like to know if it’s bugged or they’re tweaking it or just simply acknowledging it would be nice.
