Hawkeye’s debuff

Hello contest champions,

just to let you know that after now a while it felt like that actually Hawkeye was being debuffed and not vice versa.
He was a reliable power control champion, but no more :-(

I love the new mechanics and it is fun to trigger the arrow with right timing but if you take something such important away from him it isn’t actually worth it.

He's still got powercontrol, id dare say better than before.
Before, you'd need to time and shorten combos into sp1 to prevent enemy from getting specials off.

Now, just time your perfect releases, and you can do normal five hit combos, firing sp1 after sp1 (if you only need powercontrol)

He was in no way nerfed, but improved.
For one, he's one of the few poison immune Skill (with synergy) plus being able to Slow with heavy.

He was easy to play and if I now miss the timing, there are occasions where he don’t power drain at all. Even with perfect timing it is like nothing compared to the old days.

I agree that his utility is really good now, however I have the feeling that I was able to control the fight mich better prebuffed.

He was my first R4 5 stars and I used him intensely.

Pros:
-Much better damage with or without sp1 spam
-Can counter evade
-Can get poison immunity
-Bleed god
-Can reduce combat power rate very nicely
-Can reduce opponent's physical resistance

Cons:
-lost a bit of potency in the actual power drain

His buff was 100% worth it.

His buff was good. But I stay away from any champ that you have to say “if” when describing them. If you can’t count on it. Then just pretend it’s not gonna happen.

The "if" in Hawkeye's case is being skillful, which is a pretty good trade off imo. If you can't do that then maybe he's not the champ for you. The good thing about this game is that we have multiple champs that cover the same utility

I play him differently than before - meaning although his character skin and animations are the same, it’s kind a different champ. SP1 power drain spam isn’t really a thing like before - unless I invest in spamming it and keeping the suppression up.

He’s a new champ for me, with different abilities. I can’t play him the same as before.

Mine is R3 so I love playing him. My only gripe is you can’t spam heavies with his heavy animation (for some reason). The “Guile” heavy kick flippy thing.

“40% of max Power” compared to “75% of one power bar” is a debuff for me even he has newly added utilities.

I love his new mechanic but I already have a lot of champs which full filled the added utilities.

He is no longer the champ I used to play and as FPM pointed out a new champ.

To add to the heavy spam notion, it's impossible to do it with Hawkeye because the enemy recovers faster when being knocked down (against the wall) than he does when charging his heavy. I wish they changed it so it was faster and further reaching.

I agree, buddy. But I enjoy his gameplay nonetheless!
