Kabam have fumbled the bag in a massive way

If u go to the cutscenes in settings and scroll to the bottom you'll see there's one for "Draft battle". This I'm sure will be the formal name for solo competitive mode. In the cutscene they also mention relics.

In the side quest video Kabam released earlier today, there's a new tab in the store called "battlegrounds". This will probably be where we can buy the relics.

Solo competitive mode and relics have to be just around the corner now surely...

I mean, I was already prepared. Was kinda also hoping that the relic system idea would be scrapped in the meantime, but oh well

I always assumed that the relics would be attainable in like a store where you could buy them with some form of units or something. This would be in line with the rest of the game where you could simply buy your way to enough units, or grind for them. I also assume that relics would be available through deals in the store, but I hope there aren't many paying-exclusive relics.

I can't imagine anyone who's played this game for any length of time could be surprised by the fact that it is a microtransaction supported free to play game that monetizes its content, nor can I really sympathize with anyone playing such a game looking down on the idea.

If we saw that "leak" in the side quest video, that's only bcoz Kabam wanted us to see it
It's definitely not a coincidence
May be they did it to get us excited fr the upcoming content, considering that there's nothing exciting currently going in, specially after the update giving us so many new issues
