It's anyway going to reward large rosters so I don't know if the energy cost is really going to balance anything, but yeah 6 is much, much more reasonable than 30

Probably a test account. The abilities of GM already exists ingame, it's just players can't get him. And thankfully so. Imagine upon a GM or Collector on a hidden war node.
Should be unlimited, but limit ammount of points/rewards unlock per week/month. Same system as incursions.

Why does a 6 energy cost per run favor paying players? 6 energy per match translates to minimum 12 matches on a full refill (11 would cost 66 energy, and running those matches will take at least the 12 minutes necessary to gain the last 2 energy for the 12th run). Are you really planning on sitting there and knocking out in excess of 12 matches back to back to back? Sounds like a great way to make yourself immediately sick of the mode.
I haven’t spent a unit on energy refills in I don’t even know how long. I constantly have them expiring in my stash and I stockpile free four hour crystals because I want to save those little refills for when I can actually use them. Nobody who spends actual money wants to spend it on an energy refill, those things are everywhere. Plus, a full refill only costs 30 units. You can grind that out in arena in no time, no money needed.
Would it be cool if there was no energy cost? Absolutely. Being able to hop in without having to consider what other content I could be spending that energy on would definitely be nicer. But is it part of a grand scheme to further separate paying players and free to play players? Categorically no.
If you want something to be angry about in that regard, wait and see what the deal with champion cooldowns is. That might actually be problematic, but we’ll have to wait and see what updates they’ve made in that regard.
I will be happy if they completely introduce seperate energy currency for battleground with a max of 6 and 1 point recharges every 4hrs
This sounds great to me too. Then they could also bump the max up to 7 or make recharge timer every 3 hours for people who have the sigil. Just another incentive to get people to shell out $10 a month that would have very little impact overall
I feel like rather than an energy requirement there should just be a limit on the amount of entries you can have per week, or whatever they decide the timeframe should be.
This would reward active players, make it easier to balance the rewards - if you know the most entries possible per week is 100 you can account for this in the reward structure l - would remove any element of potential P2W through simply brute forcing your way to rewards with 100s of energy refills.

How can you seriously expect Kabam to release a new game mode with absolutely no intention of monetizing it? Or…assuming you’re not quite that naive…how do you expect them to monetize it in a way that creates absolutely no advantage for those spending their money? Because then….why would they spend their money?
They have an opportunity to rope in a whole new crowd to MCoC if they make it spammable. There are already to many costs associated with it just in ranking up a competitor deck of THIRTY champs.
The fact my free to play can't explore all difficulties 100% monthly without using energy refills is the exact reason it is for pay to play players. It's disappointing but then again no way my F2P could compete against the bigger rosters.
You have free units and refills from alliance events, arenas, solo events. I believe the game is more than generous with the amount of free in game currency a player can get without spending.
