Finished off two of the Act 6 challenges on Day 1:
1. New Heroes and Foes to get the few T3A shards to get my 3rd T3A
2. Revolution to get the remaining T5B

I didn't think it was possible for someone who doesn't spend any money on the game to have a R4 already ... even if all content is completely explored or have I missed some content somewhere??

It wasn't great... My team was:
Korg 5* 5/65 max sig
ThorRags 6* 1/25 sig 1
Gulk 6* 1/25 sig 40
Gulk 5* 3/45 sig 60
ThorRags 5* 2/35 sig 40

Definitely not a well ranked team for the challenge but I really am not investing much in 5-star champions any more unless it is with rank up gems. ThorRags is easily worth the R2 and/or R3 but I don't have the resources for that. I ended up choosing to take the Cosmic path. Few revives on the path using mostly Korg since he was the highest rank. He did very well against the Aarkus and needed just 1 revive (solo definitely possible but I got caught by 1 L2).

I was going on some 400+ hits on the Angela at the end but Korg couldn't make a dent past the Vigor. I gave ThorRags a try and he did get her down. He was able to turn off the Vigor when enough shocks stuck to have the ability accuracy kick in enough to prevent Vigor from restarting but it was a long fight and had a few mess ups.

For Grandmaster, I mainly used Korg (again just cause he was R5). It's been too long since I've done this fight and I will say he worked me over good a number of times but nothing a full stocked stash couldn't combat. If I hadn't been so close to the R4 6-Star (needing the T5B), I may have just waited for a R2 ThorRags.

Yeah that's fine to think that but you would be incorrect. I'm surely not the only one... While I can't say I have never ever made a purchase in this game, I haven't spent a dime since mid-2019. My last purchases were 3 in 2019 - $5 Collector Daily Cards (unit calendar thing) in April, May, & June. After that, I just decided that I had concerns with how Kabam was doing some things (or not doing them) and felt in-game purchases didn't bring much value to me as I looked back on them.

Anything I generally needed I could just play for and I just decided that was the route to go for me. R4 materials didn't exist back in 2019 so it's definitely possible to be F2P and have a R4 6-Star Champion. I even skipped on getting some the the Act 7.2 & Act 7.3 Exploration packs (3500 units) that had some chunks for T3A, and I choose the July 4th 6* R3 gem offer instead the offer that had the T3A in it because I thought R4s were too far off but shortly after we got Summer of Pain, etc that opened the flood gates - passing on this was a mistake in my opinion looking back. So I could have had my R4 during the Christmas gifting event had I choose some of those unit offers previously mentioned. And all my units are from grinding out the game. I'm not a casual player, I can safely say that I put more time into this game more than most and more than I would like to admit but I do love it.
