"New version required" but no update in Google Play

I got the error "A new version is required to play online. Please update the application" but there's no update in Google Play.
One friend has the same problem. Another saw the update available.

I'm trying uninstalling and reinstalling (got to clear a load of space as MCOC keeps getting bigger and bigger, so no idea if it works or not, yet).

My app is updated but tonight suddenly it's asking for an update. I uninstalled and re installed but still asking for an update. Is anyone facing the same issue?

Initial AppStore (Apple) status for the app says up to date (not in Updates list).
But click into the App anyways within store, and it will then change to showing there is an Update.

I just got the update available for me in the Google play store. Try again. It is a needed update for battlegrounds to work

On Android was able to manually update. Not sure what it's actually updating though, no real description...

I just mentioned what I did, that's all. Worked for me.
Everyone will get it though, like AQ rewards haha

Yeah, I appreciated the input and I'm glad it is working for some. Just not me.

Hey there, for those still having issue downloading it, could you try downloading it from installed apps or after searching for it in the store? Others have said this takes care of the issue for them, and it seems to have worked for me on my end as well.

Just searched the app store for "contest"
Then clicked mcoc , and was able to update. Nothing else worked at all, very frustrating.

I don't know what was that. But now my app working without doing anything. Still, there is no update for me in the App store. I checked the methods mentioned above.

You know, the Disagree culture in this forum is just weird.

I mean, my initial post, which is entirely and completely factual, and clearly useful to a bunch of people (as the delay of Battlegrounds ending shows, a lot of Android users had the problem, and this was the first post to address it) still got 1 Disagree!

I just can't imagine what there was to disagree with. "I'm fine, I don't have a problem so I'll disagree with this post of someone who had a huge problem and was locked out of the game, even though lots of others do too" seems to be the most likely, but that's just strange and selfish.

That this will get a load of Disagrees is, however, entirely predictable!
