Kabam, Moderators, can we talk?

There seems to be some hostility with certain kinds of posts being taken down, left and right, regarding “ the package which shall not be named” and “Issues that will not be named.”

I’m not trying to start anything or ruffle any feathers; I want to ask if we don’t post frustrations here or try to bring a discussion directly to you at Kabam through your forums, then where do we go? I think the majority of the people who are saying certain things about the game want to understand the big plan.

I get you guys, I do, as a private company, you are allowed to make these decisions, and that’s completely understandable. I think what the player base would like to know is just a general idea of where the game is headed because it has changed considerably over the last two years.

I reread those dev diaries you used to make about once a month to remember what to expect in the future; I’m hopeful, very hopeful. I would like to know what to expect moving forward because it’s starting to feel like a one-sided relationship. Every meaningful relationship is based on communication.

Ignore the trolls, the 6-star nexus yellers, the “this game is going to die by next year” people, and talk to the fans like myself that have been with you since 2014/2015 and let us know what we can expect.

Please? I want to talk.

You 100% know what the OP is talking about here. Anyone who has seen the recent discussions this past week let alone past month knows. Also OP, sometimes there are main threads and then discussions that get created outside those threads, other times there are non constructive ones. There is also an issue though where they close constructive ones and prevent the ability to provide feedback which is a big problem. There are also some topics that they are definitely watching but either don't have permission to speak ok or don't have any new info to share yet. Communication is a big pain point that they have been repeatedly saying they will work on, and they do good for maybe 2 months but as soon as there is an issues, we get old communication strategies again and it doesn't sit well

The new Google doc form for reporting issues should be pinned to the front page. I’m glad there’s a new form but as a frequent forums user, I happened upon it by random chance. That’s not how it should work, especially after the past year of significant issues.

It’s really weird how we’re dealing with the issues for almost a year now. I’m still hopeful got another series of dev diaries about the future of the game but the issue has been lingering for too long that it kind of leaves a bad taste now.

It didn't lead off with Paragon or top 20 Alliance so there's a good chance he doesn't know what they mean.

You know I don’t like posts like this but I think OP did a fantastic job addressing the issues we have without sounding demanding, sounding entitled or asking for the unspoken C word. Honestly continued transparency from the devs is what we ask for. Most of the player base wants to know where the game is heading, what’s in the works to fix it and what are future plans to keep from these issues happening.

I'm all for Dev Diaries and Road Maps but only if you can convince the forum community to stop trying to hold the devs to every single idea as if they are promising they will come to fruition.

How is asking details for AI "recent" updates "non-constructive"? And how is "not ignoring" this kind of questions when there's no response in over a year when this particular subject is brought to the forum's table?

There’s a plethora of posts because the justifiable perception is that the issues regarding things like AI behavior and dropped inputs are not being addressed or, worse, are being ignored. A quick stroll through the Bugs page should be enough to tell you that there’s still a lot going on after the refractor fix.

With that said, two posts from Miike in less than a day provides at least a scintilla of hope the team is aware and willing to engage with the enduring and newly emerged problems.

@Kabam Miike aren't you the community manager? Does this mean there is going to be two community managers or does that mean you are moving on?

The thing with the form is to input each and every combination we have had the issues, would require submitting the form over and over again.

The issue are everywhere, in every game mode, with every kind of input across every device.

It would be a shorter report for us to say where it's not happening.

That the is insanity, from my perspective, of the whole situation.
