Act 6.4.5 Hydra Adaptoid

This is one of the most interesting boss fights however I have been caught off guard by this guy a few times the nodes on him are no joke either... What is the best counter for this guy? I am intending to do this fight itemless to save resources for Grandmaster.

Shang chi did great for me. Slow to avoid unstoppable. His stun avoids limber timer altogether.
Build a few around 25-30 chi charges and that sp2 would destroy the adaptoid.

I used Corvus to bring him down to half health and then Hercules and CAIW.. Did not use revive- but used 3 champions

PS: the defender was very supporting by launching SPIs - so I was lucky.

I’ve just completed this chapter with the new act 6 changes and ran the remaining 5 paths. I used Shang-Chi every time without any deaths. Get your parry off with a MM combo for the slow then it’s just a matter of refreshing, very straight forward.

I am far from this fight but definitely White Mag with pre-fight will occupy one slot.

Seeing this, I think it is appropriate to take him to rank 2.
