Can someone at Kabam let us know if 7* champs are planned for the near future?

With the ability to get rank up materials for 6* (even r4 mats) getting easier, with shards coming faster than ever, can we assume 7* are coming in the next 6-12 months?

I'm asking because I am considering hoarding 6* shards until they are announced. When 6* were announce we were given 6 months to collect shards for the new meta... If we could get a heads up this is at least being considered for the near future, it would help out a lot. Thanks ahead of time to any mod who responds with an answer to this.

I would say no, instead look for when more people have R5 6* and the resources for those becomes easier. This is my thoughts and it seems reasonable as R4 isn't the top ranking for 6*.

We haven't even seen a rank 5 six star yet. They already learned from their mistake when they introduced six stars so they're not going to do it again

And was the situation different for the step from 4* to 5*?

When is Kabam going to have the Legendary Celebration again and when are we going to have a proper birthday celebration for the game since it was introduced?

Are they coming in the near future? Depends on what you call near. I suspect they WILL be coming. It's only a matter of time. If history shows anything, it would likely be close to when Max 6*s are a thing. I think it's a bit blind to keep the thought they won't be a thing.

Where most of us still collecting fragments or catalysts to rank up 3 6* to rank 4 for paragon, I can't imagine the amount of rank up materials needed for 7*. It hard enough for some to rank up 6*, let alone ranking up 7*. Allow players more opportunites to rank up 6* and maybe, a BIG maybe even whisper 7*. Atm, not many are even thinking about 7*.

I guess because they feel that a lot of things should happen before that.
For one, ways of powering up the champs we already have, like strikers and relics.

I think it was Lagacy the Youtuber who made a point where he had a good 5* roster for himself and then kabam introduced the 6* and that meant to go around doing it all over again to get those characters as 6*. I feel the same albeit I do not have as many 6* as a YouTuber but I like where I am headed and if they think of introducing 7* I have to do it again.

I hope 7* never come.
I'd rather 6* r5 exists, with relics filling the gap. One can only add so many stars before it becomes silly.

I can see that point of view in fairness, that said, the acquisition of the champs and chasing that new rarity is something I sorely miss, rarely open 6* now as its just pointless dupes ha but if the game wants to remain a progression game that stays alive for years to cone then something must give at some point else everyone will hit the games ceiling (not their own skill/roster one) 🤷‍♂️.

I have read about these relics and I do like the idea of them, but that will also leave the question of "what is next" when you look at the bigger picture.
