Solo incursions top zone bonuses question

If i am qualified for tier 2 incursions having 11/8 needed 6*s, cant i go in lower sector and farm artifacts?
i tried to go to sector 2 (1800-2999 rating recommended) and i selected a team with a rating of 2612 but when i tried to enter sector 2 i got this message saying "you are not eligible for top zone bonuses in this sector. Note: your team's rating determines which sectors you can choose to play" even tough my rating is in the recommended area.
Is there something im missing?
